The Herman Falter Packing Company has issued a voluntary recall for the following products made Sept 13, 18, 19, 2006:
The following packaged under the Falter's Purity brand Label:
One pound packages of smoked pork neck bones marked 9-19
One pound packages of smoked pork jowl marked 10-27
Three-pound packages of jumbo frankfurters marked 10-28
10 Pound boxes of Jarold's 3-1 Cooked Italian Sausage
marked "EST. 21054" and may also bear the package code 9-19-2006
A Reminder: SAFE HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS
Falter's
meats are prepared from inspected and passed meat and/or poultry. Some food products may
contain bacteria that could cause illness if the product is mishandled or cooked
improperly. For your protection, follow these safe handling instructions.
Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave.
Keep raw meat and poultry separate form other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry.
Cook thoroughly.
Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard.
